Center for China Studies (CCS)
The CCS at SPPM is a joint research center between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Tsinghua University. Established in January of 2000, it focuses on public policy and development. Led by Prof. HU Angang, a well-known analyst of China's Development, the Center is an influential think tank whose reports are read at the highest level of the Chinese leadership. The center's policy brief series "Reports on China Studies" has become one of the best known sources of sound policy analysis in the Chinese government that provide broad, timely and high quality information and policy recommendations for decision makers.

Institute of Government Management and Innovation (IGMI)
IGMI is a multidisciplinary research team trained in economics, administrative law, political science, and public management. Its current research focuses on theoretical and empirical studies of government management issues, governance innovation, and good governance. Through teaching, joint research, consulting, and executive training; the Institute has established close linkages with various central and local government agencies. The Institute also established the Anti-Corruption Research Center in 2002, China's first non-governmental research institute on anti-corruption policies. The Center assists China's ongoing anti-corruption campaign with high quality research on corruption control, corruption prevention, and good governance.

Institute of International Development and Strategies (IIDS)
Research at IIDS focuses on international development and strategic issues. Core research areas include national and regional development strategies and practices, national and regional diplomatic and security strategies, strategic theory, planning, and management. Research projects at IIDS are sponsored by national organizations, Chinese and overseas foundations and enterprises.

Institute of Taiwan Studies (ITS)
The ITS was founded in October, 2000, and focuses on Taiwan¡¯s industries, cross-strait relations, economic cooperation across the Taiwan Strait, the political economy of postwar Taiwan¡¯s development, and the investment and performance of Taiwan¡¯s firms on mainland China. The Institute hosts postgraduate students from the SPPM and other schools and departments at Tsinghua whose degree are related to Taiwan studies. The Institute also sponsors training programs in an effort to aid investors from Taiwan who seek to understand the law and policy environments on the mainland.

NGO Research Center (NGORC)
The NGORC was founded in October, 1998 as the first research center on NGOs in China. The Center¡¯s research focus on policy and management issues related to NGOs. Its mission is to provide training for senior managers in NGOs, to promote research on Chinese NGOs, to contribute to effective formulation of related public policy, and to help build the capacity in NGOs and civil society. The Center has worked on projects related to legislation of NGOs in China, the creation of an evaluation system of NGOs, professional management of NGOs in the market economy, and the creation of community-based NGOs.

Public Policy Institute (PPI)
The mission PPI is to conduct theoretical and applied research in public policy, to offer academic and professional training in policy analysis, and to provide consulting services related to policy analysis and development strategies. The Institute employs an interdisciplinary approach in dealing with significant public policy issues. The objective PPI is to become a leading policy research institution. The institute pursues research agendas in both basic theories and processes of public policy as well as domain-specific policy issues such as science and technology policy, environmental governance, sustainable development, and crisis management.
