【会议摘要】
The lecture will delve into the issue of blended finance in international green development based on the latest research by Professor Matthias Thiemann. Drawing from his insights into the current global financial regulatory landscape, Professor Thiemann will explain the role and trends of blended finance in green finance, as well as the green transformation of the European Union's development banks and multilateral development banks.
【主讲人介绍】
Matthias Thiemann is a Full Professor in European Public Policy at Sciences Po Paris. As a sociologist closely affiliated with political economy, he focuses on analyzing how financial regulatory authorities in Europe and the United States attempt to control the risk-taking behavior of agents in the financial industry, and how these financial practitioners profit from evading such control. Professor Thiemann has published numerous professional papers in the fields of financial stability, financial regulation, and financialization. In 2021, he published "The Reinvention of Development Banking in the European Union: Industrial Policy in the Single Market and the Emergence of a Field," which discusses how European development banks have transformed from relics of national industrial policy into core pillars of the EU's economic projects.
