Dean of SPPM, Professor Xue Lan welcomed the National University of Singapore, Dean of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Professor Kishore Mahbubani. A small forum was organized by Associate Dean, Professor Wu Yongping with 50 students and teachers attending the session. Professor Mahbubani discussed the topic of his latest book “The New Asian Hemisphere: The Irresistible Shift of Global Power to the East” and talked about his experience in the diplomatic service. He notes that Asia has learnt the key lessons from the West and will be a significant force in the coming century. After his speech there was a lively Q&A session with students.
The event was organized by Tsinghua Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance (CIDEG).
