Dr. Yuan ZHOU (Joseph) holds the position of Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Head of the China Institute for Engineering Development Strategies. His primary research areas are Technology Management and Innovation Policy. He has been honored as a Distinguished Young Scholar under China's esteemed "Changjiang Scholars Programme" by the Ministry of Education.

Yuan ZHOU has ongoing projects including "Technology Foresight with Big-data and Machine Learning Methods," "Public demonstration projects for strategic emerging industries in China," "Strategic roadmapping methods for new energy technologies in China," and "High-value engineering network in Europe and China," among others. Based on these projects, he has published several papers in Engineering (Chinese Academy of Engineering Journal), Industrial & Corporate Change, Technovation, Science and Public Policy, Technological Forecasting & Social Change (TFSC), R&D Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Energy Policy, Scientometrics, etc.

Yuan ZHOU serves as the Associate Editor of Technovation and the Department Editor of IEEE TEM. Furthermore, he has been a contributing editorial board member and guest editor for a variety of esteemed academic journals such as Engineering, Frontiers of Engineering Management, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, R&D Management, and Scientometrics, among others. Dr. Zhou earned his PhD in Technology Management from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2010. He also received his B.Eng and M.Sc degrees from Nanyang Technological University.
