Yixin Dai is a Professor at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on environmental governance, collaborative governance, innovation policy, renewable energy, and general theories of public administration. Her current work investigates both the evolution of collaborative relationships among multiple stakeholders in addressing “wicked problems” and the role of policy instrument mixes in facilitating such collaboration, with empirical cases drawn from China’s environmental governance and digital transformation efforts. Her research has been published in leading journals including Journal of Policy Analysis and Management (JPAM), Governance, Public Administration, Environmental Management, Climate Policy, Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions, and Energy Policy. She serves as a board member and associate editor of Public Administration, Associate Co-Editor of the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, and Topic Editor for MDPI journals. She leads or co-leads several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Cyrus Tang Foundation. She is also actively involving in international research collaborations. She earned her Ph.D. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
