MID Students Visit Beijing Ju'er Hutong Community
On the afternoon of December 27, a group of MID 2009 students, led by Professor Yin Chengzhi, visited Ju'er Hutong community, located in the Dong Cheng district of Beijing. The Ju'er community secretary of the Party Committee, Li Yuan, led the students on a tour of the area and provided them with in-depth description of the Ju'er Hutong Courtyard Housing Project that is currently taking place. The students are currently enrolled in the course Integrated Approaches to Sustainable Development. The purpose of the visit was to deepen their understanding of the urban renewal of historical cities.
