SPPM, together with the Lee Kuan School of Public Policy at National University of Singapore, held a successful book launch for Dynamic Governance – Embedding Culture, Capabilities and Change on March 18. The event, chaired by Dean XUE Lan of SPPM, welcomed honored guests Mrs. Lim Hwee Hua, the Second Minister Finance and Transport of Singapore and Brigadier General Chin Siat-Yoon, the Ambassador to the People's Republic of China.
During the event, the book's author, Professor Neo Boon Siong of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, discussed the principles and necessity of dynamic governance in an ever-changing global environment. Professor Neo Boon Siong is currently the Director of the Asia Competitive Institute at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and the former Dean of the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. He received a Public Administration Medal from the President of Singapore in 1999. He is a leading expert in strategy, process and organizational change. He has advised many major corporations and government agencies, facilitated strategy workshops, and led management development programs for senior executives and government officials.
Associate Dean MENG Qingguo of SPPM hosted a discussion session following Professor Neo's speech. Participants include the Deputy Director Mr. WEI Gang of the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform, Director LIU Lijun of the Training and Supervision Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of PRC, Consular ZHANG Hanwu of the Department of Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, and the General Manager Mr. BAO Ke of Beijing Beiao Incorporation.
