On January 14^th, 2013, the signing ceremony of MOU on China’s Leadership Development (CLD) Program was held in Beijing and this initiated the third 5-year program plan from 2013 to 2017. Mr. Hou Yunchun, Vice president of Development Research Center (DRC), State of Council, Prof. David Ellwood, Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS), and Prof. Xue Lan, Dean of the School of Public Policy & Management (SPPM), Tsinghua University signed the MOU on behalf of DRC, Harvard and Tsinghua.

 

CLD program was launched in 2002 by DRC, HKS and SPPM. It annually trained 50-60 Chinese officials from central and local government. The past decade witnessed two terms of 5-year CLD program while this signing ceremony marks the beginning of the third term.
