During his study at Tsinghua, he was awarded with China National Scholarship by Ministry of Education and Top Scholarship awarded by Tsinghua. The Scholarship was established in 2014 when SPPM strives to move further in helping outstanding Ph. D graduates to pursue post-doc studies abroad, which has been a preferable requirement for teaching/research positions in higher education institutions and research centers in China. This is an effort to keep and sustain young faculty and researchers for China’s academia in public administration. Dolby Laboratories, as a global leader in entertainment technologies including voice and vision, has always been a forerunner in innovation and in revolutionizing people's and social lifestyles. Based on mutual understanding of the importance of the scholarship, SPPM and Dolby signed a memorandum on July 4, 2014, to support SPPM’s education program by sponsoring a scholarship for an outstanding Ph.D. student to pursue post-doctoral studies at a world-class overseas university or research center, so as to secure a teaching and/or research position in China.
