Madinda, Wilfred Stanley from IMPA, 2016, an administrative Officer, works with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tanzania, East Africa.

With quality and remarkable reputation, Tsinghua secure the top position in universities rank in the modern world. Foremost from having the qualified professionals in various fields also university recognized for producing different famous and important people who contributed great to the changes not only in China but also in the whole world.

Having admitted in the spring semester intake of 2016 on IMPA (International Masters of public Administration) comes with a numbers of expectations. I was excited since the first day of my application to the university, indeed coming here in Tsinghua University is one of the most memorable experience and glorious one that scribed my life with the huge academic status. This is not only due to the university reputations but also in the sense of enhancements of my technical skills of international governance, leadership and general career expansion.

School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) has a huge numbers of international students, with the cultural diversity and perception toward variety of matters. That builds up my managerial, judgment alternative, policy, guidelines and knowledge of global matters. Not only that, but also understanding various personal and international stands and belief especially on development, politics, social and economic perspective, so far I have already made couple of new friends, from Africa, Europe, Asia and America as well.

Curriculum of the School seems to touch every participant’s consideration as the discussion and exchanges of vivid ideas from different angle of the world. Together with the teaching methodology that can make someone live the reality for the moment, all this makes one not want to miss the class, that makes me happy more that I was expected.

As we are still on the 1st semester, the corporation that the university staffs they showed us make us feels as we found oversees homes in Tsinghua. Their warm greetings (Ni hao) and the assistance on learning Chinese language gave us courage to keep on reading and even try to write in Chinese character, most of the international students can write their names in Chinese. I have Chinese name as well, which is威力. Learning Chinese language and the culture together with leadership style awake me on empowerment on our nations as well.

After everything done in the class, there is other normal life around the compus, which I must say that gave me a lot to learn and total excitement. the school not only have brainy students but also talented one as there are those who engage themselves effectively in the sports and other games, I love football, I am in the SPPM football team, the Campus have well built and modern football pitch and other important football equipment.

It is my belief that, being here at Tsinghua will give me an opportunity to understand the total history of Chinese culture, administration guidelines and policies. Understanding that will place me in a good position learning the reasons behind for their rapid development, as well also gives me courage to believe that anything is possible if you put effort on, taking China as the living example. Indeed this is real international theater of dream.
