As the event drawing to a close, students expressed their sincere gratitudes to SPPM and shared their feelings at this exciting moment. Van, MID student from Thailand, said: “SPPM is a big family for me. I come me from a family which has only one child so I do not have brothers and sisters. However, here provides me brothers and sisters from every where in the world. My father said once, friend is a family we can choose because sometimes we have some relative that we do not like them but we cannot do anything. Finally, I glad to be here to be a part of the family. ” Haris, MIDG student from Albania, said: “I usually find the words to anything, but this occasion makes it difficult to find the right words in expressing my deepest feelings. I never thought of living and studying in China. I only dreamed of visiting it. This desire dates back to when I studied my A- levels in Oxford, 12 years ago. One of the subjects I decided to study back then was Religion, that's how I learned about Buddhism and Taoism, Asia in general and specifically China, and so I felt like one day I had to visit China. I learned about Tsinghua University only two years ago and decided to go all the way through and be here where I am today. I have traveled almost everywhere, studied in so many universities, and met people from all around the world, but the experience here, to be sincere, has been the best so far, by any standard. Thank you to everyone for making it a wonderful place to be. Thank you professors and Tsinghua, I have learned so many things, through mistakes and good things done, professionally, academically, socially, culturally and politically speaking. Every moment has been a special one. I am honored to speak on behalf of the MIDG, I have to say that these 14 people have been my family here. We would knock in each others doors, opening our hearts, sharing almost everything together, and feeling like home. You are my family and this is a moment in life I will cherish forever. Thank you to all of you. I love you. ”
