“Forum on Modernization of Government Affairs Service and State Governance”, jointly hosted by the Tsinghua Institute for Governance Studies, School of Law and School of Public Policy & Management (SPPM) of Tsinghua University was held on December 24. Nearly 200 attendees, including government officials, experts and scholars participated in the forum for exchanging thoughts on hot issues about government affairs.

Meng Qingguo, Division Chief of the Construction of Liberal Arts of Tsinghua University and professor of SPPM; Peng Zongchao, Associate Dean of SPPM, hosted the forum in the morning and in the afternoon respectively. Yang Yongheng, Associate Dean of SPPM, gave a speech on behalf of the school. During the forum, Meng Qingguo research group released Report of Survey and Assessment on 2016 China Internet Plus Government Affairs Services and Report of Assessment on Performance of Website of Chinese Government in 2016. These two reports provided required background, assessment scope, indicator system and result of assessment on Internet plus government affairs service and websites of the government as well as analyzed the highlights of the government work mentioned above, and pointed out existing problems at present.
