Dr. Yuning Gao is an associate professor at School of Public Policy and Management, and associate researcher at Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University. He holds PhD in Land Economy from University of Cambridge, Master of Management and Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University. He was elected the president of Chinese Economics Association Europe/UK，standing Board Member of the Committee of Social and Economic System Engineering of the Society of System Engineering of China, and also serves as the associate editor of Structural Change and Economic Dynamics (SSCI indexed journal). He also served as visiting professor at Graduate School of economics, Nagoya University and honorary associate professor at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management, University College of London. Dr. Gao’s main research fields include international economics and international development, resource and environmental economics and policy.
The courses he taught includes joint PhD course International Development and Global Governance, Economic Theory (II) and Master course Economic Development and Policy of China, which was award
“excellent graduate course” of Tsinghua University and
“model English course” of
Ministry of Education for overseas students. He was award first grade in the 10th Beijing Teaching Skill Competition of
Junior Faculties of Higher Education Institutions and first grade of 2015 Beijing Excellent Achievement Award in Project Consultation. Dr. Gao was also nominated Huayu (chair) associate professor of Tsinghua University in 2019.
