On the afternoon of January 13th, SPPM invited students and program staff from the one-year master’s programs in Beijing to join an experience-sharing session.
More than 50 students and teachers from Peking University (MPP2014), Beijing Normal University (IMBA2014), University of International Business and Economics (IEMBA2014), and Tsinghua School of Medicine (IMPH2014) gathered in SPPM, with the 31 IMPA 2014 students as their hosts. As the first student meeting of one-year master programs in Beijing, everyone was very excited to get to know friends with similar learning objectives and career ambitions. The students were very engaged in sharing the uniqueness of their own curriculum and their observation of China’s development. The program managers also agreed that both the program and the students benefited from sharing of information and resources, like prior to the session, all of them just attended a lecture on “Lessons for Africa from China's Growth” delivered by Mr. Makhtar Diop, the vice president of World Bank. More opportunities of exchange will be created among those programs in the future.
