On Jan.16th, 2015, 26 students from IMPA 2014 class visited the Headquarter of MCC Overseas Ltd and National Stadiums.
During the symposium in MCC, Mr. Zou Weimin,the Chairman of the Boards and Mr. Chen Changan, Vice General Manager of MCC Overseas introduced the corporation’s development, which enabled students to have a better understanding of China’s state-owned enterprises, as well as the status quo of China’s overseas cooperation and investment. On behalf of SPPM, Associate Dean Meng Bo reviewed MCC’s involvement in IMPA 2014 class field trips and relevant activities during the past year and expressed gratitude on their strong support to SPPM’s international programs.
In the afternoon, IMPA students visited the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest, one of MCC’s most important projects. They kept praising the construction of the two national stadiums, which combined the architectural design and high-end technology. It is worth mentioning that Water Cube used to hold the Welcome Banquet for the leaders of 21 economies of APEC Members in 2014. The Banquet Hall and Group Photo Stage, which were built above the swimming pools, were kept after APEC Meeting. Students kept taking photos on the stage and highly appreciated the action of re-using Olympic stadiums.
This visit was one of the farewell activities for the students from IMPA 2014 class and was sponsored by MCC Overseas Ltd.
