On Jan 27 of 2015, one of the most important days for the IMPA 2014 Class, 31 students from 22 countries embraced the celebration of their graduation at the Commencement of Tsinghua University and School of Public Policy and Management.
With Ms. MENG Bo, the Associate Dean being the host, the ceremony was lightened up by the attendance of 23 representatives from 17 Embassies, including 6 Ambassadors. Officials from MOFCOM of China attended the Ceremony as usual, and congratulated our graduates’ achievements. Managers from MCC Overseas, who had been supporting the program for three years, also came and sent their greetings.
On this memorable occasion, Prof. XUE Lan, Dean of SPPM congratulated the graduates on behalf of the school and raised high expectations to their future career and life achievements.

Ryan Christopher Singh, Lukio Lawrence Mrutu and Bonsa Bayissa Negera from IMPA 2014 Class received the award of SPPM Outstanding Thesis. Ryan from Guyana shared his experience and gains during studying in Tsinghua with many interesting stories. Through the design of the whole class, a world map that highlighted all IMPA 2014 countries was presented to SPPM. Prof. MENG Qingguo received the gift on behalf of the school. Emosi Vakatawabar from Fiji explained the implication this world map is for all IMPA 2014 students could be remembered as part of SPPM family forever.

After the ceremony, Dean XUE Lan and Chairman of SPPM Academic Subcommittee WU Yongping conferred the degree. Mr. XU Kai, Division Head of MOFCOM conferred the MOFCOM certificate to each graduate.
Since the launch of IMPA program in 2008, SPPM has trained 229 graduates with public management knowledge and skills from 69 developing countries. Most of them are government officials from various high-level ministries and departments.
