SPPM Hosted “New Urbanization and Sustainable Development Forum”

On April 24^th, "New Urbanization and Sustainable Development Forum" was held in the Reception Hall of the Main Building of Tsinghua University. The forum is hosted by the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University and jointly organized by the China Institute for Development Planning of Tsinghua University and the 21st century media.

Vice-President of Tsinghua University Xie Weihe

Prof. Xie Weihe , Vice-President of Tsinghua University, attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech. Yang Weimin, Deputy Director of the Central Financial Work Leading Group Office and Director of China Institute for Development Planning of Tsinghua University; Gu Shengzu, member of the NPC Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Association Central Committee, Yao Zhongmin, member of the CPPCC National Committee and Former Chief Supervisor of the National Development Bank, and a few others were invited to attend the forum and deliver speeches. Professor Meng Qingguo, Party Secretary of SPPM, Professor Wang Youjiang, Deputy Director of China Institute for Development Planning of Tsinghua University, chaired the morning and afternoon pannels separately.

Yang Weimin delivered a keynote speech entitled "Patience for Urbanization ". He pointed out that the development of urbanization is a marathon; we should have patience for the progress of urbanization. Nearly 200 government officials, experts, scholars, financial investors, entrepreneurs, teachers and students attended the forum.
