Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University Unveiling Ceremony and “New Trend for Philanthropy Forum” were Held

The unveiling ceremony of Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University, followed by “New Trend for Philanthropy Forum”, was held on the afternoon of April 26th. The guests unveiled for the institute included, Du Zhanyuan, Deputy Head of Ministry of Education, Zou Ming, Deputy Head of Ministry of Civil Affairs, Professor Qiu Yong, President of Tsinghua University, Professor Chen Xu, Secretary of Tsinghua’s Party Committee, Professor Xie Weihe and Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University. Professor Xue Lan, Dean of SPPM, hosted the event and Professor Wang Ming of SPPM was appointed as the first Dean of Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University.

Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University held “New Trend for Philanthropy Forum” after the unveiling ceremony, hosted by professor Dun Guosheng of SPPM, concentrating on three issues: philanthropic legislation and institutional innovation, social reform and institutional innovation, and dynamic of social participation and cross-border cooperation.

The audience include the leaders of relevant state ministries and local governments, the board of directors of Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University Council, representatives from academic institutions, Tsinghua University and NGOs.
