A New Life for A New World

I arrived at Tsinghua University Campus in the third week of August. Despite the fact that it was a Saturday, at the same day I could register for a university dormitory, buy a Chinese mobile number, open my bank account and start the procedures to apply for the Residence permit. Everything was well oriented and easy to do, very efficient!
During the last week of August, we had lots of introductions, orientation programs and ceremonies. It helped a lot all the new students, mainly the international ones, to feel welcome and integrated to the new life. The School of Public Policy and Management team was very attentive and the students could solve all doubts and problems regarding their arrival and registration issues.
My choice for a master was based on my constant search for knowledge and the fact that I have been doing business in China in the last 5 years makes Beijing the right choice to live. After this conclusion, was easy to decide for Tsinghua, the best university in all BRICS countries.
From these few days here in Tsinghua I could realize that my choice for this university and program was the best possible. After two years in the course of Public Administration in International Development (MID), I am sure I will have a strong academic and practical foundation to understand this field with an emphasis on China′s perspective.
In addition, I will have the chance to learn Mandarin and gain a better understanding of China′s development practices, general culture and history. With all these precious resources, I hope I can be a bridge between China and Brazil, helping to develop both countries in all aspects.
Let us cause a positive impact in the world!
