On February 19, an MPA delegation from the Institu d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) visited SPPM to carry out academic exchanges. Dean Xue Lan welcomed the group on behalf of the school and many students from the IMPA program and Chinese students participated in the exchange activities. The group attended a presentation by SPPM Associate Dean Professor Wu Yongping on "Governing Economic Reform: Dynamics and Challenges of Chinese Political Economy" and talked about China’s experience of three decades of opening up and reform, its achievements and its challenges. It was a lively discussion with many questions raised and talks engaging in many topics ranging from Chinese public policy, social development and cultural traditions. The event was an opportunity for students from both schools to engage in active open communications.
