The 9^th Public Management Forum of Tsinghua University held in Nanning

On August 16^th to 17^th, the 9^th Public Management Forum of Tsinghua University with the theme on “Urban Governance and Regional Development” was held in Nanning, the forum is hosted by the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University and jointly organized by Research Office and Development Research Center of the Government of Nanning. Nearly 200 experts, scholars and public administration practitioners participated in the forum, discussing and exchanging ideas on recent policy innovations and practices on urban governance and regional development of Nanning and the country.

Professor Meng Qingguo, Party Secretary of SPPM, hosted the opening ceremony. Yu Yuanhui, Party Committee member of Guangxi Autonomous Region and Party Secretary of Nanning, and Han Jingyang, Deputy Party Secretary of Tsinghua University gave speeches at the opening ceremony. Gu Shengzu, Deputy Director of NPC Financial and Economic Committee, Zhou Hongbo, Mayor of Nanning, and Professor Yin Cunyi of SPPM delivered ？？keynote speeches. Dean of SPPM, Professor Xue Lan made summary remarks and gave a speech titled "The Road to Modernization of National Governance".

Tang Congyuan, Mayor of Guilin, professors of SPPM including Deng Guosheng, Yu Yongda, Yu Qiao and another 20 guests commented on the topics of "Urban Governance Innovation," "Strategic Planning and Regional Economic Development," "Urbanization and Regional Development and Innovation " and " Modernization of Local Governance ".
