Professor Mark J. Rozell visited SPPM

On the afternoon of Aug. 14^th, Prof. Mark J. Rozell, Acting Dean of public policy at George Mason University visited the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. Prof. Rozell delivered a speech under the topic of “Principles and Operations of the Decentralized Governing System in U.S.”.

Prof. Xue Lan, Dean of SPPM moderated the lecture. Associate Dean Meng Bo and Assistant Prof. Zheng Zhenqing presented at the lecture as well. Over 40 students attended the lecture and had heated discussion with Prof. Rozell after the speech.

Mark J. Rozell is acting dean and professor of public policy at George Mason University. He is the author of nine books and editor of twenty books and numerous articles on various topics in US government and politics including the presidency, separation of powers, interest group politics, and the intersection of religion and politics. He joined the faculty of GMU in 2004 and became acting dean in June 2013. He writes frequent opinion columns for US newspapers and he has lectured extensively in the US and abroad.
